A typical Tuesday night at Ignite
6:30 – 7:30 – Connection time
- This is time that looks like “free time“, but it is intentional time to connect in relationship. Our V-Staff and Student Leadership Team (SLT) purpose this time to get to know every student better.
7:30 – 8:30 – Family Groups/Student Service
- Family Groups are our version of small groups. They are no bigger than six to a group and are facilitated by one of our adult V-Staff. The key to these groups is sharing and discussion. The questions are designed ahead of time to get students not just to read the Bible together, but to discuss the practical implications of it. For example, we just finished a marathon study of the Gospel of John, studying a chapter a week.
-Student Service – on the first Tuesday of each month we have a student service in place of Family groups. It features live worship with our band and a large group teaching time. It is always closely linked to our Family Groups though, often teaching on the same subject that we tackle in the groups.
