The Zone
New this fall is “The Zone.” This new addition to KidZone allows for a smoother transition from KidZone to Ignite. This group targets the “Tween” kids who are not old enough for a high school youth group, but are too old to be involved in an elementary based program. We are using curriculum from Group Publishing called “Grapple”. Grapple’s preteen package helps to tackle the tough questions your preteen students are asking about their relationships with God, others and themselves. We dig into the real-life issues they are dealing with every day – and find out what the Bible has to say about these issues.
In addition to the Sunday school curriculum, there is also an online community that is set up just for these kids. With parental consent, kids are encouraged to take the lesson with them through the week, participating in online discussions, watching videos and playing games in a safe, password protected site.
Kids will worship Sunday mornings with their parents. Then after the worship music time, kids are excused to the loft where it all happens Sunday mornings! Check it out at: www.mygrapple.com
